Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated 22 June 2026
In short: we use privacy-friendly analytics to understand how our website performs (which pages are read, roughly where visitors are, what device they use), always in aggregate. We do not collect personal information that identifies you unless you choose to contact us through our contact form.
This policy explains how Capulet (“Capulet”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you visit capuletafrica.com. It covers the data we process, why, the legal basis for it, and the rights you have under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR.
1. Website analytics (site performance)
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure the performance of our website. We use it strictly to understand aggregate trends — such as how many people visit, which pages they read, the approximate region they visit from, and the type of device and browser they use. We use this to improve the site. We do not use it for advertising, ad targeting or profiling, and we have not enabled Google Ads features or data sharing for advertising.
Google Analytics sets cookies and processes limited technical information, including an approximate location derived from your IP address and a randomly generated identifier. In GA4, IP addresses are not logged or stored. This information is used in aggregate and is not used by us to identify you as an individual.
2. When you contact us
If you choose to submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, organisation, role, region and message, together with any contact details you give us. This is processed on our behalf by our form provider (Formspree) and is used solely to respond to your enquiry and to follow up about a potential working relationship. We do not sell or share this information for marketing.
3. Cookies
We use only analytics/performance cookies, set by Google Analytics, for the purposes described above. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control or refuse cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
4. Legal basis for processing
For aggregate website analytics, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving site performance, balanced against your privacy. For correspondence you initiate through the contact form, our basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry and taking steps at your request.
5. Data retention
Aggregate analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings. Enquiries submitted through the contact form are kept only for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a reasonable business record.
6. International transfers
Our analytics and contact-form providers may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where they do, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses and data-processing terms.
7. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
8. Contact
For any privacy questions or requests, please reach us through our contact page.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
